Possible Causes
Misaligned basket, Faulty basket microswitch, Broken actuator tab on drawer, Loose switch wiring, Failed input circuit on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before opening the housing.
- Check basket insertion: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket/drawer until it clicks. Ensure no food debris is preventing full closure.
- Inspect actuator: Look at the side or underside of the drawer where a plastic tab or protrusion engages the internal microswitch. If the tab is broken or worn, the switch will not be pressed. Replace the basket/drawer assembly if the actuator is damaged.
- Test microswitch: Access the internal basket detection microswitch. With the unit unplugged, use a multimeter in continuity mode across the switch terminals while manually pressing the actuator. The switch should open and close reliably. Replace if intermittent or non-functional.
- Check wiring: Verify the switch wires are firmly connected to the main board and not damaged.
- Control board: If the switch and wiring are good but E7 persists, the input circuit on the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
