How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before removing the control panel.
- Clean the panel: Wipe the touch surface with a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel edges.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel cover to access the touch control PCB. Ensure the flat ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked into the connector on both the panel and main board.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks on the touch PCB, corrosion on connectors, or burnt components. Replace the touch control panel assembly if damaged.
- Board communication: If connections and panel are good but E8 remains, the communication circuitry on the main control board may be defective and should be replaced.
