Possible Causes
Misaligned basket not engaging microswitch, Broken door/basket microswitch, Damaged switch actuator tab on drawer, Loose wiring to door switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before inspecting the switch or internal wiring.
Steps to address E10:
- 1. Check basket insertion: Remove the basket and drawer, then firmly reinsert them until you hear or feel a click. Many Granitestone models require the drawer to fully engage a basket safety switch.
- 2. Inspect the drawer rails and latch: Look for bent metal, plastic burrs, or food debris preventing full closure. Clean the rails and latch area thoroughly.
- 3. Locate the door/basket switch: With the housing removed, find the door/basket microswitch near the front where the drawer slides in. Manually press the switch lever and listen for a distinct click.
- 4. Test the switch: If you have a multimeter, test the switch for continuity when pressed. Replace it if it does not open and close properly.
- 5. Check actuator tab: Ensure the plastic or metal tab on the drawer that presses the switch is intact and not broken. If damaged, the basket/drawer assembly may need replacement.
- 6. Replace faulty parts: Install a new door/basket microswitch or drawer assembly as needed. Reassemble and test for proper operation.
