Possible Causes
Open heating element, Loose spade connector on element, Burned wiring in heater circuit, Failed heater relay on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. The heating element and nearby metal parts can remain hot for some time.
Steps to address E6:
- 1. Confirm symptom: Start a short cycle and check if the fan runs but no heat is produced. Then unplug immediately.
- 2. Access heating element: Remove the outer housing. Locate the heating element assembly at the top of the cooking cavity.
- 3. Inspect connections: Check the spade terminals where the wires connect to the element. Tighten any loose connectors and look for signs of arcing or burning. Replace any charred connectors with high-temperature terminals.
- 4. Test the element: With a multimeter, test the heating element for continuity. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- 5. Replace the element: Order a compatible Granitestone heating element assembly. Disconnect the old element, remove mounting screws, and install the new one in the same orientation, reconnecting wires securely.
- 6. Check heater relay: If the element tests good, the heater relay on the control PCB may be stuck open or burned. Inspect the board for discoloration around the relay. If faulty, replace the main control PCB.
