• 3. Check alignment: Insert the basket slowly and watch how the latch engages. If the basket sits low or high relative to the catch, the rails or basket frame may be bent.
• 4. Test interlock switch: With the unit unplugged, press the latch area and listen for the click of the internal microswitch. If the switch does not click consistently, the actuator may be worn.
• 5. Replace worn components: Replace the basket assembly if the latch hook is damaged. If the internal actuator or spring is broken, replace the latch/interlock mechanism inside the fryer.
