Air fryer fan is very loud, rattling, or grinding during operation.

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Never insert objects into the fan while it is running.

Steps to reduce fan noise:

• 1. Confirm source of noise: Run the unit briefly and listen to locate the noise (top/rear area indicates fan). Then unplug and cool before opening.
• 2. Inspect for debris: Remove the basket and look up toward the fan. Check for loose food pieces, parchment paper, or foil touching the fan guard.
• 3. Access the fan assembly: Remove the rear or top cover to expose the fan motor and blades. Remove any shroud if necessary.
• 4. Check blade tightness: Gently try to wiggle the fan blade on the motor shaft. If it is loose, tighten the retaining nut or screw. If the hub is cracked, replace the blade.
• 5. Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. Roughness, grinding, or side‑to‑side play indicates worn motor bearings.
• 6. Inspect for contact: Ensure the fan blades are not rubbing against the shroud or housing. Gently bend the shroud or reposition the motor if needed.
• 7. Replace the fan motor: If noise persists and bearings are worn, replace the convection fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade if it is still in good condition.

Note: A slight whooshing sound is normal; loud grinding or rattling is not and should be corrected promptly.
