Possible Causes
Faulty encoder or buttons on control panel, Electrical noise or interference, Failing microcontroller on control board, Moisture under keypad overlay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before opening the control panel.
Steps to correct erratic settings:
- 1. Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes and then plug back in. Test if the issue persists.
- 2. Clean the control surface: Wipe the panel with a dry cloth to remove moisture or residue that might trigger capacitive touch buttons.
- 3. Inspect for moisture inside: Remove the control panel housing and check for condensation or spills on the control board. Allow to dry completely if moisture is present.
- 4. Check keypad connections: Reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad and control board.
- 5. Replace control panel or board: If settings still change on their own, replace the touch control panel assembly. If that does not resolve the issue, replace the main control board.
Note: Avoid using wet fingers on the touch panel, as this can cause false inputs.
