Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool before opening. Do not insert fingers into the fan area while plugged in.

Identify noise source: Run the unit briefly with the basket removed to locate the noise (fan area, cabinet, etc.), then unplug.
Inspect fan: Remove the top cover to access the fan. Check that the fan blade is tight on the motor shaft and not cracked. Tighten or replace as needed.
Remove debris: Clear any food particles or foreign objects from the fan guard and surrounding area.
Check mounting screws: Tighten screws securing the fan motor, heater bracket, and internal panels.
Replace motor if bearings are worn: If the noise is a persistent grinding from the motor itself, replace the convection fan motor.
