Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Obstruction in fan blades, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan control circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool completely before inspecting the fan.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and look up at the fan guard. Remove any visible debris with a non-metallic tool.
- Access fan motor: Remove the top cover to reach the fan motor and blades. Try spinning the fan by hand; it should move freely.
- Test motor: Measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is secure on the main PCB and that wires are not damaged.
- Check control output: If the motor is good but never receives voltage during operation, the main PCB fan driver is faulty and the board should be replaced.
