• Verify mains voltage: If possible, measure the outlet voltage under load. Low voltage can reduce heating performance.
• Inspect heater: Access the heating element and look for hot spots, cracks, or discoloration. Test resistance; a significantly higher resistance than specification can indicate a weakened element.
• Check relay and wiring: Inspect the heater relay and wiring for signs of overheating or loose connections that could limit current.
• Replace heater if needed: If the element is damaged or out of spec, replace the heating element assembly.
