Possible Causes
Drifted NTC sensor, Poor thermal contact between sensor and cavity, Firmware calibration error, Main PCB ADC (analog-to-digital converter) fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before accessing internal components.
- Check sensor mounting: Locate the NTC sensor in the cavity wall or roof. Ensure it is firmly attached and not hanging loose. A loose sensor can read incorrect temperatures.
- Clean sensor area: Remove heavy grease or carbon buildup around the sensor tip, which can insulate it from actual air temperature.
- Compare temperatures: Use an oven thermometer placed in the basket to compare actual temperature to the set temperature. If readings are consistently off by a large margin, the sensor may be out of range.
- Replace NTC sensor: If the sensor resistance at room temperature is outside the expected range (check service data if available), replace the sensor with a compatible Hisense part.
- Persistent E12: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main PCB's measurement circuit or firmware may be faulty, requiring PCB replacement.
