Display shows E3 and the air fryer overheats or shuts down quickly.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes. Surfaces and internal parts can be extremely hot.

• Check ventilation: Ensure the Hisense air fryer has at least 10 cm clearance on all sides and that rear and bottom vents are not blocked by walls, cloth, or other appliances. Clean any dust buildup from vents.
• Clean internal airflow path: Remove the basket and drawer. Inspect the cavity for heavy grease buildup on the fan guard and heater area. Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding water on electrical parts.
• Inspect thermal fuse and thermostat: From the top or rear access panel, locate the thermal fuse and bimetal thermostat mounted near the heater. Check for signs of overheating or discoloration. If the thermal fuse is open (no continuity), it must be replaced with the same temperature and rating.
• Check sensor accuracy: If you have a thermometer, compare the actual cavity temperature to the set temperature. If the unit overheats significantly, the NTC sensor or main PCB may be faulty.
• Persistent E3: If the error returns after cleaning and ensuring ventilation, the heater relay on the main PCB may be sticking closed. This is a high-risk fault; contact a qualified technician or replace the main control PCB.
