Possible Causes

Open heating element, burned wiring to heater, failed heater relay/triac on main control board, overheated terminal block

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Heating circuit work exposes you to mains voltage; proceed only if you are experienced.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the basket and inspect the visible portion of the heating element. Look for breaks, blisters, or burn marks. A visibly broken element must be replaced.
  • Access heater terminals: With the outer cover removed (unplugged), locate the heater terminals and wiring. Check for loose spade connectors, burned insulation, or melted plastic around the terminals.
  • Tighten and clean: Reseat any loose connectors and clean light oxidation. Severely burned connectors or wires should be replaced, not reused.
  • Test the element: Disconnect one lead and measure resistance across the element. An open circuit indicates a failed element; a very low resistance may indicate a partial short.
  • Check the relay/triac: If the element tests good, the control board's switching device may have failed. Look for burn marks or bulging components on the board. Replacement of the main control board is usually required.

If you are not comfortable working with high‑voltage components, seek professional service.
