Possible Causes

Shorted NTC temperature sensor, Melted or pinched sensor wiring, Grease or moisture intrusion into sensor connector, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from the outlet and let it cool fully. Do not attempt to run the unit with an active E2 error.

  • Reset and dry: Unplug for 15 minutes. If the unit was recently cleaned with water or steam, allow it to dry for several hours before retrying. Moisture can temporarily short the sensor.
  • Visual inspection: Remove the basket and look for the temperature sensor probe inside the cooking chamber. Check for melted plastic, burnt spots, or exposed wires near the sensor.
  • Check harness routing: If you open the outer shell (only if safe and not under warranty), verify that the sensor harness is not pinched between panels or touching the heating element.
  • Clean connector: If accessible, disconnect the sensor plug from the control board and inspect for corrosion or grease. Clean gently with a dry cotton swab; do not use water.
  • Replace sensor: If E2 returns immediately after power-up, the NTC sensor is likely shorted and should be replaced with the correct Instant air fryer sensor assembly.
  • Board replacement: Persistent E2 with a known-good sensor indicates a shorted input on the main control board; replacement of the board is recommended.
