Possible Causes

Worn fan motor bearings, Loose or bent fan blade, Foreign object contacting fan, Fan mounting screws loose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Do not insert tools into the fan area while the unit is plugged in.

Steps to address loud fan noise:

  • Initial inspection: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the fan area. Check for loose food pieces, foil, or other debris that may be hitting the fan.
  • Access fan assembly: Remove the bottom cover and, if necessary, the rear or top housing to reach the convection fan motor assembly.
  • Check fan blade: Inspect the fan blade for cracks, warping, or bent fins. Tighten the fan nut or screw on the motor shaft if it is loose.
  • Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. It should spin smoothly without grinding. If it feels rough or wobbly, the motor bearings are likely worn.
  • Tighten mounts: Ensure the fan motor mounting screws are tight and that any rubber vibration isolators are intact.
  • Replace fan motor or blade: If noise persists and the motor is rough, replace the Kalorik convection fan motor assembly. If only the blade is damaged, replace the fan blade with a compatible part.

Do not continue to use the air fryer with a severely noisy fan; a failing motor can seize and cause overheating.
