Possible Causes

Failed heating element, Blown thermal fuse in heater circuit, Loose heater wiring, Faulty heater relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. The heater area can remain hot even if it is not currently working.

Steps to troubleshoot no-heat condition:

  • Confirm settings: Make sure a temperature above ambient is selected and that the unit is not in a keep-warm or fan-only mode.
  • Visual check of heater: Remove the basket and drawer and look at the heating element. During operation, it should glow faintly red on many models. If it never glows, suspect a heater circuit issue.
  • Access heater and thermal fuse: Remove the bottom cover and locate the heater terminals and any inline thermal fuse or thermostat.
  • Test thermal fuse: Disconnect one side and check continuity. Replace the Kalorik thermal fuse if open.
  • Test heating element: Disconnect one heater lead and measure resistance across the element. An open reading indicates a failed element. Replace with a Kalorik heating element assembly for your model.
  • Check heater relay: If the element and fuse are good, the heater relay/triac on the control board may not be switching. Inspect the board for burnt spots and replace the control PCB if necessary.

After repair, run a short test cycle and monitor for proper heating and any unusual smells or noises.
