How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing any covers. Do not force buttons or pry the glass/plastic panel aggressively.
Steps to troubleshoot non-starting unit:
- Confirm settings: Ensure a temperature and time are selected and the drawer is fully inserted. Some Kalorik models require pressing a specific Start icon after selecting a preset.
- Check basket switch: Gently pull the drawer out and push it back in firmly. If the unit beeps or the display changes when you move the drawer, the basket safety switch is likely working. If not, inspect the switch as described in the E8 scenario.
- Test the start button: On physical-button models, press the start button repeatedly and feel for a click. If it feels mushy or unresponsive, the switch may be worn.
- Access control panel: Remove the front or top cover to reach the touch/button PCB. Inspect for cracks, corrosion, or loose connectors.
- Replace control panel PCB: If the start button circuit is faulty, replace the Kalorik touch control PCB / keypad board.
- Control board replacement: If the panel is good but the unit still will not start, the main control PCB may not be processing the start command and should be replaced.
Always reassemble the housing and ensure no wires are pinched before reconnecting power.
