How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool completely before opening any panels. Do not work on the unit while it is connected to power.

Steps to check and address E1:

  • Power reset: Unplug the Kalorik air fryer for 5–10 minutes, then plug it back in and try again. Sometimes E1 is triggered by a transient fault.
  • Access the sensor: Remove the basket and drawer. Turn the unit upside down on a soft surface. Remove the screws securing the bottom cover to access the internal components. Locate the NTC temperature sensor (usually a small metal probe or bead sensor clipped near the heating element or in the air channel, connected by two thin wires).
  • Check wiring and connectors: Inspect the sensor wires from the probe to the control board. Look for breaks, melted insulation, or loose push-on connectors. Reseat any loose connectors firmly on the control PCB.
  • Test the sensor (if you have a multimeter): Disconnect the sensor from the board and measure resistance at room temperature. A typical NTC sensor will read between about 50kΩ–200kΩ at room temperature (exact value varies by model). If it reads open (infinite) or 0Ω, the sensor is defective.
  • Replace the NTC sensor: If the sensor is open or physically damaged, order a compatible Kalorik air fryer NTC temperature sensor for your exact model. Remove the old sensor from its clip or bracket, route the new sensor wires the same way, and connect to the same terminals on the control board.
  • Inspect the control board: If the sensor tests good but E1 persists, the control PCB sensor input may be damaged. Look for burnt spots or corrosion. In this case, replacing the entire control board assembly is usually required.
  • Reassemble and test: Reinstall the bottom cover, tighten all screws, set the unit upright, and test with a short cooking cycle.

Stop using the air fryer if the error persists after sensor replacement; a faulty control board can be a fire risk and should be handled by a qualified technician.
