Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before inspection. Do not operate the unit on an unstable or incorrect voltage supply.
Steps to address E4:
- Check power source: Verify that the Kalorik air fryer is connected to the correct mains voltage (typically 120V in North America, 220–240V in many other regions). Do not use step-up/step-down transformers unless properly rated.
- Try a different outlet: Plug the air fryer directly into a known-good wall outlet (no extension cords or power strips). Avoid outlets shared with high-load appliances.
- Inspect power cord and plug: Look for damage, burns, or loose blades on the plug. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician; do not attempt to tape or splice it.
- Internal inspection: Remove the bottom cover to access the power supply / control board. Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or darkened areas near the input section.
- Replace power/control board: If there is visible damage or if E4 persists on a known-good outlet, replace the Kalorik power/control PCB assembly with the correct part for your model. Transfer all connectors one by one to avoid miswiring.
- Use surge protection: After repair, consider using a quality surge protector to reduce the risk of future overvoltage damage.
If you suspect your household voltage is unstable, contact an electrician before continuing to use the air fryer.
