Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. The fan and heater area can be very hot after use.

Steps to address E6:

  • Listen for fan operation: When you start a cycle (before it errors), you should hear the internal fan. If the fan is silent or makes grinding noises, there is likely a fan issue.
  • Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the top of the cooking cavity. If you can see the fan behind a guard, check for loose foil, food pieces, or warped guards that might block the fan. Do not bend the guard into the blades.
  • Access the fan motor: Remove the bottom cover and, if necessary, the rear or top housing (depending on model) to reach the convection fan motor assembly. Note the orientation of all screws and panels.
  • Inspect fan blades and shaft: Spin the fan by hand (with power disconnected). It should rotate freely without scraping. If it is stiff or seized, the motor bearings may have failed.
  • Check wiring: Verify the fan motor connector is fully seated on the control board and that wires are not pinched or burnt.
  • Test and replace fan motor: If the motor is seized or shows open windings on a resistance test, replace the Kalorik convection fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade to the new motor if it is a separate piece, ensuring it is tightened securely.
  • Control board driver: If the fan motor tests good but never receives power, the fan driver circuit or relay on the control PCB may be defective. Replace the control board assembly.

Do not operate the air fryer with a non-functioning fan; this can cause overheating and fire risk.
