Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before opening the housing. Avoid touching circuit boards with wet hands.
Steps to address E9:
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for at least 10–15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge and the microcontroller to fully reset. Plug back in and test.
- Check for moisture: If the air fryer was recently cleaned aggressively or used under a cabinet, moisture may have entered the control area. Let the unit dry in a warm, dry place for 24 hours (unplugged) and try again.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the bottom cover and, if needed, the front panel to access the display PCB and main control PCB. Check any ribbon cables or multi-pin connectors between boards. Reseat them carefully.
- Look for damage: Inspect both boards for burnt components, corrosion, or cracked solder joints, especially around connectors.
- Replace control board(s): If reseating cables does not clear E9, replace the Kalorik main control PCB. On some models, the display and power/control are a single assembly; in that case, replace the entire control/display board assembly.
Firmware reprogramming is generally not user-serviceable on Kalorik air fryers; board replacement is the standard repair.
