How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before any disassembly. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel.
Steps to address generic 'Err' error:
- Reset and clean panel: Unplug for 10 minutes. Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove grease or residue that may cause capacitive touch misreads. Dry thoroughly.
- Check for stuck buttons: On models with physical buttons, press each button several times to ensure it moves freely and is not jammed. If a button feels stuck, gently work it free; do not use sharp tools that can damage the panel.
- Inspect control panel cable: Remove the front bezel or top cover (depending on design) to access the touch/button PCB and its cable to the main board. Reseat the connector.
- Look for liquid damage: If liquids have run down into the panel, corrosion may be present. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush (unit unplugged and fully dry before reassembly).
- Replace control panel PCB: If the error persists, replace the Kalorik touch control PCB / keypad board. Ensure the new board matches your model's layout.
- Main board replacement: If a new panel does not resolve the error, the main control PCB may also need replacement.
Do not continue to power-cycle the unit rapidly; allow time between attempts to avoid stressing the electronics.
