How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool. Do not operate with covers removed.
- Check basket and accessories: Ensure the basket, crisper tray, and any racks are properly seated and not contacting the heating element or fan shroud.
- Inspect fan area: Remove the basket and look up toward the fan. Use a flashlight to check for loose screws, food pieces, or foil contacting the blades.
- Tighten fan blade: Access the fan from the top or rear. If the fan is mounted on a shaft with a nut or screw, tighten it carefully while holding the fan steady.
- Replace damaged fan: If blades are bent or cracked, replace the fan blade or entire motor assembly.
- Motor bearings: If noise persists and feels like grinding, the motor bearings are likely worn. Replace the convection fan motor.
