Possible Causes
Shorted temperature sensor,Stuck heater relay on main control board,Failed thermostat,Sensor detached from cavity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely. Do not continue using it until the issue is resolved.
- Verify with thermometer: Use an oven thermometer to confirm that the actual temperature is much higher than the set temperature.
- Inspect sensor mount: Ensure the NTC sensor is firmly attached to the cavity wall and not hanging loose or touching the heating element.
- Test sensor: With the unit unplugged, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature. A reading near 0Ω or very low indicates a shorted sensor that must be replaced.
- Check heater relay: If the heater stays on continuously (you can hear it or see the element glowing) even when the set temperature is reached, the heater relay on the main control board may be stuck closed. Replace the main control board.
- Replace thermostat: If your model uses a mechanical thermostat in addition to an NTC sensor, replace it if it fails to open at high temperature.
