Air fryer shows E8 and will not respond to touch inputs.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before working on the control panel.

• Clean the panel: Wipe the touch surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Heavy grease or moisture can interfere with touch sensing.
• Power cycle: Unplug for several minutes, then plug back in to reset the touch controller.
• Inspect for cracks: Check the front glass or plastic touch surface for cracks or impact damage. A cracked panel often requires replacement of the entire UI assembly.
• Check connections: Remove the control panel and verify the touch panel ribbon cable is fully seated on the UI board. Reseat if loose.
• Replace UI assembly: If E8 persists and the panel remains unresponsive, replace the complete user interface/touch panel assembly compatible with your Kenmore model.
