Possible Causes
Cracked touch glass or membrane, Loose UI ribbon cable, Contamination (grease, moisture) under fascia, Worn tactile switches on UI PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel.
- Clean surface: Wipe the touch area with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Inspect fascia: Remove the front fascia to access the UI board. Check for cracks in the touch membrane or signs of liquid ingress.
- Reseat cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the UI and main PCB. Ensure it is straight and fully inserted.
- Switch test: On models with physical buttons, press each switch directly on the PCB. If some do not click or register, replace the UI board.
