Possible Causes
Shorted heating element, Shorted fan motor, Damaged wiring harness contacting metal chassis, Failed triac or power transistor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug immediately. Do not repeatedly reset and run, as this can cause further damage or fire.
- Visual inspection: Remove covers and inspect heater, fan motor, and wiring for burn marks, melted insulation, or signs of arcing to the metal chassis.
- Isolate components: Disconnect the heater and fan motor one at a time and test continuity to chassis ground. Any component showing a short to ground must be replaced.
- Check harness routing: Ensure no wires are pinched between panels or rubbing on sharp edges. Re‑route and protect with grommets or sleeving.
- PCB check: Inspect the power switching devices (triacs, MOSFETs, relays) on the main PCB for cracks or burn marks. Replace the PCB if any are damaged.
- Do not bypass fuses or protection devices; they are essential for safe operation.
