Possible Causes
Open‑circuit heating element, Loose spade connector on heater terminals, Burnt relay contacts on main PCB, Broken wiring in heater harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains and allow to cool fully before opening.
- Check connectors: Remove the cover to access the heater terminals. Ensure both spade connectors are firmly attached and not oxidized or burnt. Clean light oxidation with fine emery cloth.
- Measure heater resistance: With the unit unplugged and heater wires disconnected, measure resistance across the element. Typical values are 10–40 Ω depending on model. An infinite reading (OL) indicates a broken element.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the heater wires back to the PCB, checking for heat damage, brittle insulation, or broken crimp joints. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Relay check: On the main PCB, inspect the heater relay for burn marks or a melted case. If the relay is visibly damaged or you hear no click when starting a cycle, the PCB or relay is likely faulty and should be replaced as an assembly.
