Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed fan blade, Failed fan motor, Fan motor connector loose on PCB, Faulty tachometer feedback circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool. Do not insert fingers into fan openings.

  • Check for obstructions: Look through the rear or top vents for any foreign objects (foil, food debris) contacting the fan. Remove the cover if necessary and clear any blockage.
  • Spin test: Gently rotate the fan blade by hand. It should spin freely without grinding or stiffness. If it is stiff or wobbly, the motor bearings may be worn and the motor should be replaced.
  • Verify connections: Locate the fan motor plug on the PCB and ensure it is fully seated. Inspect the harness for damage or melted insulation.
  • Power test (advanced): With extreme caution and only if you are qualified, you can power the motor briefly from a suitable low‑voltage supply (for DC motors) to confirm operation. Otherwise, replace the motor if it shows signs of failure.
  • PCB fault: If the fan and wiring are good but E6 persists, the main control PCB may not be driving or reading the fan tach signal correctly and should be replaced.
