E10 appears; unit may start but stops mid-cycle, or will not begin heating.

Safety first: Unplug the Klarstein air fryer before working near the basket cavity or switch wiring.

Steps:

• 1. Check basket insertion: Ensure the frying basket and pan are fully inserted and latched. Many Klarstein models will show an error if the basket is not seated correctly.
• 2. Inspect switch actuator: Look inside the basket cavity for the plastic tab or lever that engages the safety switch. If it is broken or bent, the switch may not be triggered. Replace the basket or actuator piece if damaged.
• 3. Access the switch: Remove the outer housing to locate the door/basket microswitch or magnetic sensor near the front of the unit. It is usually mounted to a small bracket.
• 4. Test the switch: Disconnect the switch from the harness. Use a multimeter to check continuity while pressing the switch lever (or placing a magnet near a reed/Hall sensor). The reading should change between open and closed. If not, replace the switch.
• 5. Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the switch to the control board for pinched or broken wires. Repair or replace as needed.
• 6. Reassemble and test: Refit the housing. Plug in, insert the basket fully, and start a cycle. Confirm that E10 no longer appears and that the unit runs continuously.

Warning: Never bypass the safety switch permanently; it prevents operation with the basket removed.
