Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before opening the control panel area.

Steps:

• 1. Dry out moisture: If the error appeared after cleaning or a spill, leave the unit unplugged for 24 hours in a dry, warm room to allow moisture to evaporate. Do not use heat sources directly on the panel.
• 2. Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front or top fascia. Carefully lift the panel to expose the touch PCB and ribbon cable.
• 3. Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable is fully inserted and locked in its connector on both the touch PCB and main board. Reseat the cable by gently removing and reinserting it.
• 4. Inspect for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on the touch PCB or connectors. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Heavy corrosion usually requires replacing the panel.
• 5. Replace touch panel or main board: If reseating cables does not clear E9, replace the touch control PCB first. If the problem persists, the main control board microcontroller may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
• 6. Reassemble and test: Refit the fascia and screws. Plug in and test all buttons and programs to confirm normal operation.
