Possible Causes
Blocked air inlets or outlets, Fan blades dirty or damaged, Overloaded basket, Faulty temperature sensor placement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the fryer before cleaning or opening.
Steps:
- 1. Avoid overloading: Cook in smaller batches and shake or turn food halfway through to improve airflow.
- 2. Clean fan and heater guard: Remove the basket and clean the heater guard and visible fan area of grease and debris.
- 3. Check vents: Ensure rear and bottom vents are not blocked by walls or objects.
- 4. Inspect fan blades: Open the housing and check that the fan blades are intact and evenly spaced. Replace the fan blade if warped or broken.
- 5. Verify sensor position: Ensure the NTC sensor is correctly located in the air stream, not pressed against metal or the heater.
Warning: Do not cover the basket with foil in a way that blocks airflow; this can worsen uneven cooking and cause overheating.
