Possible Causes
Bent basket rails, Warped basket from overheating, Debris in rail tracks, Damaged front housing guides
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before attempting to free a stuck basket.
- Inspect rails and guides: Remove the basket and examine the side rails and housing guides for bends, warping, or debris.
- Clean tracks: Wipe away crumbs, grease, and burnt residues from the rails and guides.
- Straighten minor bends: Gently straighten slightly bent metal rails with pliers, taking care not to crack the coating.
- Replace warped parts: If the basket or pan is visibly warped and no longer square, replace with a genuine Lakeland basket/pan set.
Warning: Forcing a jammed basket can damage the safety switch and housing; correct the alignment first.
