Possible Causes

Loose mains cord connection inside unit, Failing internal power supply on control board, Damaged mains filter board, Intermittent thermal fuse connection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and wait for internal capacitors to discharge (at least 5–10 minutes).

  • External checks: Try a different wall socket and avoid extension leads. Inspect the mains plug and cord for cuts or kinks.
  • Internal cord connection: Remove the rear or bottom cover to access where the mains cord enters the unit. Ensure the strain relief is intact and the live/neutral/earth connections are tight on the terminal block or filter board.
  • Inspect power board: Look for a small PCB with fuses, capacitors, and possibly a transformer. Check for burn marks, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints.
  • Fuse check: Test any internal fuses with a meter and replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
  • Control board supply: If comfortable and trained, measure the low-voltage output from the power section to the logic board (often 5 V or 12 V DC). Fluctuating or missing voltage indicates a failing supply.
  • Replace faulty modules: Replace the mains filter/power board or the entire main control PCB as supplied by Lakeland.

Warning: The power supply area carries lethal voltages. If you are not experienced with mains electronics, seek a professional technician.
