Uneven Cooking / Airflow Imbalance
Food cooks unevenly; top is burnt while inside remains undercooked, or one side browns more than the other.

Possible Causes
Partially blocked air outlets, Fan speed reduced due to wear, Heater guard clogged with grease, Basket overfilled or blocked
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool before cleaning internal parts.
- Check loading: Avoid stacking food too high or blocking airflow holes in the basket. Shake or turn food mid-cycle as recommended.
- Clean heater guard: Remove the basket and clean the perforated heater guard and surrounding area to restore airflow.
- Inspect fan and vents: Ensure the fan guard and rear vents are free of grease and debris. Clean with a soft brush and mild detergent.
- Verify fan speed: During a test run, listen for a strong, consistent airflow. A weak or pulsing sound may indicate a failing fan motor that should be replaced.
- Check seals: Inspect basket and door seals for gaps that could cause hot spots. Replace worn seals if available.
Warning: Do not cover the basket base with foil in a way that blocks airflow; this can cause uneven cooking and overheating.
