Possible Causes
Aged or drifting NTC temperature sensor, Poor sensor placement or contact, Control board calibration drift, Blocked airflow around sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool before internal checks.
- Confirm with thermometer: Use an oven thermometer placed in the basket to compare actual temperature to the set value over a 10–15 minute cycle.
- Clean around sensor: Access the interior and gently clean around the NTC sensor to remove grease that may insulate it.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to its bracket or air channel and not dangling or touching the heater directly.
- Replace sensor: If readings are consistently off by a large margin, replace the NTC sensor with a Lakeland-compatible part.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not correct the issue, the control board's calibration may be off; replace the main PCB.
Warning: Do not attempt to compensate by running at unsafe temperatures; fix the underlying measurement issue.
