Possible Causes
Failing display board, Loose display connector, Weak low-voltage supply from main PCB, Heat damage behind control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the control area.
Steps to improve display:
- Check power stability: Ensure the air fryer is on a stable outlet without heavy loads that could cause voltage dips.
- Inspect connectors: Remove the control panel and reseat the connectors between the display board and main PCB.
- Look for heat damage: Check for discoloration or warped plastic behind the display, which may indicate overheating. Ensure vents around the control area are not blocked.
- Replace display board: If segments are permanently missing or the display remains dim, replace the display/UI board with an LG-compatible part.
Note: Some dimming at very high ambient temperatures can be normal, but persistent flicker usually indicates a hardware issue.
