Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse, Faulty power cord, Failed main control board power supply, Defective power switch or touch control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is unplugged before any disassembly. Do not bypass safety fuses.
Steps to diagnose no power:
- Check external power: Test the outlet with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets.
- Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage. Gently wiggle the cord at the plug and at the unit while plugged in (if safe) to see if power flickers. Replace the cord if suspect.
- Access internal fuse: Remove the rear cover and locate the line fuse on or near the main PCB. Test continuity with a multimeter. If blown, investigate for shorts before replacing with the same rating.
- Check power switch/control: For models with a mechanical power switch, test it for continuity when switched on. For touch controls, verify the low-voltage supply on the main PCB (technician-level).
Warning: If the fuse blows again immediately after replacement, there is likely a serious short in the heater, fan, or PCB. Stop and contact a professional.
