Possible Causes

Overheating triggering internal thermostat, Loose power cord connection, Failing main control board, Intermittent door switch contact

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before inspection.

Steps to diagnose premature shutoff:

  • Check ventilation and load: Ensure vents are clear and the basket is not overfilled, which can cause overheating.
  • Inspect power cord and plug: Wiggle the plug gently in the outlet (with caution) to see if power cuts out. Replace a loose cord or use a different outlet.
  • Test door switch: Slightly press or lift the door during operation (if safe) to see if movement causes shutoff. Replace a sensitive or worn door switch.
  • Monitor temperature: If the unit is very hot externally when it shuts off, the internal thermostat or thermal fuse may be tripping due to overheating; clean and inspect fan and heater.

Note: If shutoff occurs randomly with normal temperatures and good connections, the main control board may be failing.
