Possible Causes
Warped or damaged frying pan, Worn non‑stick coating causing gaps, Overfilled basket with excess oil, Cracked drip tray or pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before handling hot oil.
- Step 1 – Inspect pan and basket: Remove and check for cracks, warping, or damage to the non‑stick surface, especially at seams.
- Step 2 – Avoid overfilling: Do not exceed the maximum fill line or add large amounts of liquid; air fryers are not deep fryers.
- Step 3 – Replace damaged parts: If the pan or basket is cracked or warped, replace with genuine Midea basket/pan assembly to ensure proper fit.
- Step 4 – Check for internal spills: If liquid has entered the base, carefully wipe it out with a damp cloth (unit unplugged) and allow to dry completely before reuse.
