Basket will not lock in place; unit shows door/basket open and will not start.

Safety first: Unplug before inspecting the latch and switch.

• Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Remove any foil, parchment, or food pieces from the basket rails and latch area.
• Step 2 – Inspect latch hook: Examine the basket latch for cracks or missing pieces. Replace the basket if the latch is broken.
• Step 3 – Verify actuator tab: Ensure the plastic tab that presses the microswitch is intact and aligned. If broken, replace the basket or actuator part.
• Step 4 – Adjust switch position: Slightly adjust the microswitch mounting (if slotted) so that it is fully engaged when the basket is inserted.
