Possible Causes
Weak relay coil on PCB, Poor solder joints on relay pins, Unstable power supply voltage, Faulty temperature sensor feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before accessing the PCB.
- Step 1 – Observe behavior: Note if clicking is rapid and irregular, or normal slow cycling. Rapid chatter indicates a fault.
- Step 2 – Inspect solder joints: On the main PCB, examine the heater relay pins for cracked or dull solder. Reflow solder if you are qualified, or replace the board.
- Step 3 – Check sensor connection: Ensure the NTC sensor connector is secure; intermittent readings can cause relay chatter.
- Step 4 – Replace PCB: If chatter persists, replace the main control board to prevent relay failure and overheating.
