Possible Causes

NTC sensor shorted internally, Moisture or oil bridging sensor terminals, Damaged sensor harness insulation, Shorted input on main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and let it cool fully before inspection.

  • Visual inspection: Access the cooking cavity area and locate the NTC sensor near the heater or air outlet. Check for oil, moisture, or food residue bridging the sensor terminals or connector. Clean gently with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely.
  • Check cable insulation: Follow the sensor cable back to the PCB. Look for melted or rubbed‑through insulation causing the two conductors to touch or contact the metal chassis. Re‑insulate or replace the harness as needed.
  • Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance across its pins. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
  • PCB diagnosis: If a known‑good sensor still results in E2, the main control PCB’s sensor input may be shorted. Replace the PCB; this typically requires transferring all connectors carefully and reassembling the housing.
