P2 error and the unit stops partway through cooking, often when the basket is removed and reinserted.

Safety first: Unplug before accessing internal switches.

• Clean basket area: Remove crumbs and grease from the basket rails and the area where the switch actuator moves. Sticky residue can prevent full travel.
• Check switch movement: With the cover removed, manually operate the basket switch and listen for a crisp click. If sluggish, replace the microswitch.
• Secure wiring: Ensure the switch wires are not loose or intermittently disconnecting when the unit warms up or vibrates.
• PCB logic: If the switch tests good but P2 persists, the main PCB may misread the signal. Replacement of the control board may be required.
