Possible Causes
Sticky basket switch not re‑engaging, Debris around switch actuator, Loose switch wiring, Faulty logic on main PCB interpreting switch state
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before accessing internal switches.
- Clean basket area: Remove crumbs and grease from the basket rails and the area where the switch actuator moves. Sticky residue can prevent full travel.
- Check switch movement: With the cover removed, manually operate the basket switch and listen for a crisp click. If sluggish, replace the microswitch.
- Secure wiring: Ensure the switch wires are not loose or intermittently disconnecting when the unit warms up or vibrates.
- PCB logic: If the switch tests good but P2 persists, the main PCB may misread the signal. Replacement of the control board may be required.
