Possible Causes
Open heating element, Blown thermal fuse in heater circuit, Faulty heater relay on main PCB, Disconnected heater wiring spade terminal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool. Heating components can remain hot even if they are not working correctly.
- Step 1 – Confirm airflow: Start a cycle and feel for air movement from the exhaust (then unplug). If the fan runs but no heat is produced, the heater circuit is suspect.
- Step 2 – Visual inspection: Remove the basket and inspect the heating element for breaks or burn marks. Check that both heater terminals are firmly connected.
- Step 3 – Test heater and fuse: With the housing removed, test continuity across the heater and any inline thermal fuse. Replace any open component with a genuine Moulinex part.
- Step 4 – Check relay on PCB: Inspect the heater relay on the main board for discoloration or cracked solder joints. If the relay does not click when heating should start, or if contacts are burnt, replace the main PCB or relay (board-level repair only for experienced technicians).
