Possible Causes
Loose heater relay on PCB, Vibrating mains transformer or inductor, Slightly loose PCB mounting screws, Failing relay coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the housing. Do not touch live components.
- Step 1 – Confirm source: Run the fryer briefly and listen carefully to locate the noise (then unplug). It usually comes from the control board area.
- Step 2 – Inspect PCB mounting: Remove the cover and check that the main PCB is firmly screwed down. Tighten any loose screws or add insulating washers if the board vibrates against the housing.
- Step 3 – Check relay: Identify the heater relay. Inspect for cracks or loose casing. Slight clicking is normal; loud buzzing may indicate a failing coil.
- Step 4 – Replace PCB or relay: If the noise is excessive or accompanied by erratic heating, replace the main control board. Component-level relay replacement should only be done by experienced technicians.
