Air fryer trips the household circuit breaker or RCD when plugged in or when heating starts.

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker. Unplug the fryer and keep it unplugged until the fault is found. Risk of electric shock and fire.

• Step 1 – Try another circuit: Plug into a different outlet on a different circuit to confirm the issue is with the fryer, not the house wiring.
• Step 2 – Inspect cord: Check the power cord for cuts, crushed sections, or exposed wires. Replace if damaged.
• Step 3 – Check for moisture: If the fryer was recently washed or exposed to steam, allow it to dry in a warm, dry place for 24–48 hours before retesting.
• Step 4 – Internal inspection: With the unit unplugged, inspect the heater and wiring for signs of arcing or contact with the metal chassis. Replace the heater assembly if shorted.
• Step 5 – Professional testing: Earth leakage and insulation resistance tests should be performed by a qualified technician. Replace the mains filter board or PCB if found defective.
