Possible Causes
Steam entering through gaps in housing, Cracked control panel lens, Excessive cleaning liquid used on panel, Damaged panel gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the fryer and do not operate it with visible moisture inside the electronics area.
- Step 1 – Drying: Place the unit in a warm, dry room for 24–48 hours to allow moisture to evaporate. Do not use a hair dryer on high heat directly on plastic parts.
- Step 2 – Inspect panel lens: Check for cracks or gaps around the display window. Replace the control panel cover or gasket if damaged.
- Step 3 – Adjust cleaning method: In future, spray cleaner onto a cloth, not directly onto the panel, to prevent liquid ingress.
- Step 4 – If corrosion present: If, after opening, you see corrosion on the PCB or connectors, clean with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush, or replace the affected board.
