Possible Causes
Cracked touch panel, Moisture under control overlay, Loose ribbon cable to PCB, Failed touch controller IC on panel board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before accessing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Clean and dry: Wipe the control panel with a dry, lint-free cloth. If it was recently cleaned with liquid, leave the unit unplugged for several hours to dry.
- Step 2 – Check for physical damage: Inspect the panel for cracks or delamination. If the overlay is lifting, moisture may have entered and damaged the touch sensors.
- Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the top/front cover and carefully reseat the flat ribbon cable between the touch panel and main PCB.
- Step 4 – Panel replacement: If only some buttons fail consistently or the panel is physically damaged, replace the entire touch control panel assembly compatible with your Moulinex model.
