Possible Causes
Faulty start button on touch panel, Basket not detected as inserted, Firmware lock due to previous error, Damaged input circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before opening the control area.
- Step 1 – Check basket insertion: Ensure the basket is fully inserted and latched. Many Moulinex models will not start if the basket is not detected.
- Step 2 – Clear previous errors: Unplug the fryer for 10 minutes to reset any latched error states.
- Step 3 – Test other buttons: If other buttons respond but start does not, the start key on the touch panel may be faulty. Replace the touch control panel assembly.
- Step 4 – PCB input: If no buttons respond, or if a new panel does not fix the issue, the main PCB input circuitry is likely defective and should be replaced.
